Yearly Wrap-Up 2017

I can't quite believe that we are already in 2018. Last year flew by for me, probably because I was very busy working, rebranding my business and taking care of my two year old.

As a result, I didn't have much time for reading or writing, so I'm afraid my poor blog was neglected. I plan to invest more time and energy in it this year as I do miss taking part in the blogging community and making time for myself to be creative.

My Top Ten Moments of 2017

I always love looking back on the year that's gone and reflecting on all the positive things that have happened. 2017 wasn't my best from a creative point of view, but I had some fantastic times with family and friends and those are the things that matter most to me. Time spent with loved ones is never wasted!

Here are ten of my favourite moments from 2017:

Yearly Wrap-Up 2015

It's that time of year again when I take time out to reflect on the best and worst of 2015. It's been an amazing year for me, the highlight being the arrival of my little girl, Leona May.

Check out the 2015 End of the Year Book Survey to find out all about my favourite books from last year and have a look at my 2016 Reading List and Challenges to see what I'm planning to read in the year to come.

2015 End of the Year Book Survey

I always enjoy completing the annual end of year book survey hosted by Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner. It's a good chance to reflect on the books I've read throughout the year and see which books other bloggers are raving about. This year is the 6th edition.

If you'd like to take part, visit the sign up post to add your link.

Keep reading to see my response to the survey.

Yearly Wrap-Up: 2014

So another year has flown by, and it's time to reflect on the best and worst bits, as well as what I achieved during 2014. Check out the 2014 End of the Year Book Survey to find out all about my favourite books from last year and have a look at my 2015 Reading List and Challenges to see what I'm planning to read in the year to come.

This year was probably the best year of my life (so far) as it was the year in which I married my best friend, started a new job and went on honeymoon to Tenerife.
Keep reading to find out more about my year.

2014 End of the Year Book Survey

Once again I'm taking part in the 5th Annual End of the Year Book Survey hosted by Jamie at The Pepetual Page Turner.

I love reflecting on what I've read at this time of year. 2014 has been a busy year for me socially, so I haven't read as much as I would have liked to, but I'm still proud of what I've managed.

If you'd like to take part, head on over to the blog and join up with the linky. Feel free to post a comment below and I'll visit your blog.

2014 Reading List and Challenges

I have quite a lot of books on my shelf and on my kindle to keep me busy this year but I've decided to narrow down my reading list to the ones that have been on my shelf for a while, or that I am really desperate to read.

My Reading List

Read: Switched, Time Riders, Nocturnes.

Yearly Wrap-Up:2013

I hope everyone had a fantastic time over the holidays however you celebrated. I had quite a busy Christmas travelling between families but it was fantastic to see everyone. New Year's Eve was more relaxed, and we're currently enjoying a lazy week at home until we go back to work on Monday.

The year has flown by and I can't believe it''s 2014 already! It should be one of the biggest years of my life, as I get married on May 3rd! There's still a lot of planning to do before then, so I best get stuck in. I'm also looking forward to having a nice long summer holiday with my new husband and jetting off to Tennerife for a couple of weeks.

But before I start focusing on the year ahead I like to reflect on what I achieved in the previous year. Here's my 2013 in review.

Yearly Wrap-Up:2012

2012 is almost over, so it's both a time for me to look back across the year and reflect on what I've achieved and also a fantastic excuse for list-writing.

2012 End of the Year Book Survey

As I love doing question and answer memes, I thought I'd join in with the End of the Year Survey hosted by The Peppetual Page Turner. Feel free to visit the blog and sign up with Mr. Linky to share your survey with others on the list. If you do so by January 10th you'll be entered to win a book of your choice from someone else's list!

Season's Greetings

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve already, where has the time gone? I'll be too busy stuffing myself with Quorn turkey substitute, mince pies and Baileys to get on here over the next few days, so I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Yuletide, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa (or any other festival you celebrate).

New Year's Resolutions 2012

Happy New Year everyone! I've enjoyed reading everyone's New Year blog posts, but this one in particular caught my eye:

This Year by Le Projet D'amour

The idea of resolving to spend more time on the beach with sand between your toes, and to stop caring what others think of you really resonated with me. This year I'm not setting myself the strict resolutions to do with diet, exercises and finances that I usually do. I want to focus on what will make me happy this year, so my goals for 2012 are all based on my creative hobbies and mental wellbeing, rather than physical things.

My New Year's Resolutions 2011

Okay, this post probably should have been written on the 1st January...sorry about that. I've been neglecting my blog and instead focusing on the important things in life: using up leftover Christmas chocolate, catching up on all the Christmas specials of my fave TV shows on BBCiplayer and building a cosy little den out of chocolate wrappers, balled up paper and odd socks. And when I haven't been hiding in there I've been cashing in some overtime at work. But I'm finally ready to emerge from my fortress of dishevellment and emerge, glowing, from my winter cocoon.
