Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor. A truly breathtaking conclusion to the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series and everything I hoped it would be.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth. I enjoyed the book but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. You can read my review here.

Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver. I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would and it turned out to be a different kind of story to what I was expecting.

I only started one new series but wasn't that impressed with it. The best sequel I read was Fever by Lauren DeStefano and the best series ender was Dreams of Gods and Monsters.

The Good Birth Companion by Nicole Croft. I don't often read non-fiction, but needs must. I actually really enjoyed this one. It was very interesting and informative.

Lux from Vitro. A very interesting character who definitely left and impression on me.

The Good Birth Companion. It made me think completely differently about the psychology and physiology of labour and made me feel much more relaxed and confident in the run up to my delivery date.

Vanishing Girls. My jaw dropped at the conclusion and I had to go back and re-read it straight away to make sense of it all.

I don't really read books based solely on recommendations or peer pressure. I tend to stick with authors I know or go for books that I discover on Goodreads based on my favourite genres.

Tie between A Thousand Nights, which was filled was beautiful, rich imagery and Dreams of Gods and Monsters-set in a world I could really disappear into.

Actually, I'd say that this year none of the books I read were really 'fun'. They were all enjoyable reads, but mostly on pretty heavy and dramatic topics instead of anything light hearted.

Hmm, I can't think of an answer to this one. I tend to visit the same old book-related sites-mostly Goodreads, Amazon and Netgalley. The shops I frequent are WH Smiths and Waterstones. I don't recall finding any new sites or book stores this year.

Taking part in the 2015 Blogging A-Z Challenge. This is always the highlight of my blogging year as I make so many new blogging buddies and really challenge myself to produce interesting daily content. It's a great creativity boost.

Finding the time to read and blog in my busy schedule of full-time work, self-employment, social events and preparing for my new baby.

There are so many debuts I'm looking forward to, but the one I'm most desperate to read is The Reader by Traci Chee. It's set in a world where books are banned and sounds right up my street.

I'm not setting myself too many goals this year as obviously my priority will be looking after my new baby. But I hope to write more discussion posts rather than memes, complete more book reviews and comment on more book blogs.
