P is for Purple #AtoZChallenge
Today I'm continuing with the A-Z Blogging Challenge! This year I'm doing an A-Z of Colours. I'll be doing a variety of posts, including haikus and poems, arts and crafts, fashion and beauty, recipes and more!
For the letter 'P' I have chosen the colour Purple. Purple is the colour you get when you mix red and blue, but it can describe many different shades, including violet, heliotrope, lavender and lilac. One of it's main claims to fame is that it doesn't have any true rhymes.

The Body Electric Tour with Review and Giveaway!
Today I'm absolutely thrilled and honoured to be hosting a tour stop for one of my favourite contemporary authors-the one and only Beth Revis! I first discovered Revis back in 2013. I'd heard a lot of great things about her Across the Universe series, and when I read the trilogy I wasn't disappointed. The final instalment, Shades of Earth, was my favourite read of 2014. So you can imagine how excited I was when I heard she was releasing another sci-fi novel, The Body Electric!
Keep reading to discover the synopsis, read my review and enter the giveaway for a chance to win the complete signed trilogy of the Across the Universe series, a signed copy of The Body Electric and an Across the Universe branded water bottle!

I love reflecting on what I've read at this time of year. 2014 has been a busy year for me socially, so I haven't read as much as I would have liked to, but I'm still proud of what I've managed.

Review: Wither by Lauren DeStefano

Wither by Lauren DeStefano
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

*SPOILER ALERT!*
I’ve had this book on my shelf since Christmas, and finally got around to reading it last week. I was intrigued by the premise as it sounded similar to Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, which I enjoyed reading at university.
Review: Divergent by Veronica Roth

Divergent by Veronica Roth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*SPOILER ALERT!*
I’d read many good reviews about Divergent, and heard that it had been hailed as being on par with The Hunger Games. As a big fan of dystopian fiction, I decided to give it a go.
Review: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins

Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*SPOILER ALERT!*
I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in The Hunger Games trilogy, and was eager to start on the final instalment. Catching Fire ended with the cliffhanger that there is now no district twelve and there were a lot of questions left unanswered.
Review: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*SPOILER ALERT!*
After thoroughly enjoying The Hunger Games I had high expectations for reading the sequel, Catching Fire. The Hunger Games ends with an unresolved love triangle and the hint of a looming revolution and I was curious to see how the next book would progress.
Review: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*SPOILER ALERT!*
There has been so much hype about The Hunger Games that I wanted to read it myself to see what all the fuss was about. I enjoy dystopian fiction so I was hoping that it would live up to the good reviews I have read.

Insurgent Release Day, Paris Holiday and Big News!
It's been more than two weeks since I returned from my holiday in Paris and I've finally gotten around to posting. In my defence, I've been super busy with my work and social life. I recently took on more hours at work so I have a little less time in the evenings for blogging and my weekends have been filled with entertaining friends and attending birthday parties and weddings.
