Today is Day 7 of the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon hosted by Wishful Endings. The idea is to challenge yourself to catch up with finishing as many books on your reading list as possible over the two weeks from 8th-20th September.
There will be a giveaway for all read-a-thon participants. If you'd like to join in, you can sign up here and follow the hashtag #TackleTBR on Twitter for updates.
My progress has been pretty terrible so far. I started reading one book on my Kindle on Monday but haven't come back to it since. I've completed one book so far, but it was a short one that wasn't even on the list I hoped to tackle! Oops! Oh well, I still have another week left so I will have to buckle down and get a few more books read.
Here's a quick summary:
Day 7
What I read today: Nothing yet but hoping to read more of The Circuit: Executor Rising.
Today's finished books: None
Total number of finished books: One
Titles of finished books: Alice on Mars
Alice on Mars by Robert Rankin is a fantastically quirky Steampunk/Sci-fi/Comedy loosely based on Alice in Wonderland. Mine is a limited edition hardback copy signed and illustrated by the man himself. I loved it!

Book Cover Opposites Challenge
In this challenge, hosted by Wishful Endings, you have to find two books whose titles or covers are opposites. I love the idea of this challenge, as I enjoy comparing book covers and recently did a post about copy-cat covers.
Here are my suggestions:
Fire/Ice
Angels/Demons
Summer/Winter
Awake/Asleep
Start/End
Wither/Bloom
Are you joining in with the Read-a-thon? How are you doing with your goals?

My goals are pretty much almost all completed, but I get a lot of time to read. :) Here's my Mid-Point Update. Hope you have fun with the rest of the time!
ReplyDeleteHey, you're doing great!! Reading one book is better than reading zero books!! I bet you'll catch up in the next week.
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome!!! Love them all! :D One book is better than nothing. I hope this week is great for you and you do get some more reading in!
ReplyDeleteWe still have a couple more days to go til the challenge ends. Great opposite answers. Here's to more reading Tizzy!
ReplyDeleteI think this is the first time I've been here, Tizzy--I love your header! Hang in there with your reading goals. Even a little progress is movement in the direction you're trying to go. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been doing that great either, but hey! One is better than none!!!
