Venue Flowers
For our venue flowers we went to The Flower Shop in Kirton. Kerry was brilliant and we got exactly what we wanted for a good price. We had six giant martini glass arrangements (one for each of the round tables), a four foot top table arrangement and a posy for the guestbook table. I asked for a mixture of ivory, blue and purple flowers as well as greenery and peacock feathers. I was so happy on the day when I saw the result. They were even better than I had imagined!
Table Settings
The venue organisers did a brilliant job of setting up the tables for dinner. I made the place name cards and the table numbers myself with the card and paper left over from the invitations and some stickers I bought from a local craft shop. For favours I ordered lots of heart-shaped chocolates in blue and purple foil from Amazon (here) and popped them into little organza bags (also from Amazon-here).
We also had blue scatter crystals on the top table and on the glass bases that the flowers were standing on. We got them here.
Finishing Touches
I didn't go mad with balloons-we just had six sets of floor-standing balloons in groups of three-one ivory, one blue and one purple. We got them from Jane's Party Balloons in Boston. We bought some peacock-themed canvas paintings from The Range for £3.99 each, as well as a white bird cage candle-holder that I decorated with blue ribbon and a peacock feather.
We also bought a cheap frame for multiple photos and filled them with pictures of our lives together. Guests seemed to enjoy looking at them. We borrowed a white post box from the venue and I made a framed seating seating plan and chalk board sign (I used a silver sharpie to do the writing).
