Twelve Days of Christmas Day 1: My First Class BA

Merry Christmas everybody! I hope you're having a fantastic day and that all your wishes for the festiv season come true.

To celebrate Christmas this year I have decided to do a post on each of the twelve days of Christmas (25th Dec-5th Jan) to celebrate all of the gifts (both physical and metaphorical) that I have recieved this year and take stock of what I have achieved during 2011.

On the first day of Christmas, 2011 gave to me: A first class honours degree.

Yep, probably the most life-changing event that happened this year was that I graduated from the open university and am now the proud owner of an English Literature and Philosophy Degree. I don't yet know how I'm going to put it to good use, but it sure was fun! It's weird not having my nose in a textbook all the time, but it's refreshing to have more free time to myself to concentrate on creative things- like blogging! My graduation ceremony took place in June at the Birmingham Symphony Hall which was a great setting. I had a lovely day with my mum, dad and my partner and I didn't fall off the stage or anything.
