Dennis Haysbert (President Palmer in 24)
Dennis would be perfect to play Kgosi, chief of the tribe. Kgosi is a wise and powerful leader, but he is threatened by my MC, Ben and is very hostile towards him. Dennis has the look of authority and wisdom about him, but it would be interesting to see him play an antagonist.
Derek Luke
Derek would be great in the role of my MC, Chane Jackson. He was born in Africa but raised in America. At eighteen years old he is mixing with gangs, experimenting with drugs and generally getting himself into lots of trouble. But through the course of the novel he discovers he has qualities he can be proud of, including immense strength and bravery.
Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson (B.A Baracus in The A Team)
Quinton Jackson would be the perfect choice to play the warrior Afolabi. Afolabi is strong, brave and aggressive. He's very muscular and likes to throw his weight around.
Adewale would be a great choice to play Imanu, the tribe's spiritual leader. I loved his mysterious quality in Lost and the way his size and strength was juxtaposed with his gentle, spiritual nature.
Wow those are awesome choices! I can see how each one fits the character. I think you nailed it. And it sounds like a great story I'd love to read!
ReplyDeleteI think despite the sad lack of choices, your cast is amazing. I would see the film and read the book!
