D is for Duck Egg Blue #AtoZChallenge

Today I'm continuing with the A-Z Blogging Challenge. This year I'm doing an A-Z of Colours. I'll be doing a variety of posts, including haikus and poems, arts and crafts, fashion and beauty, recipes and more!

For the letter 'D' I have chosen the colour Duck Egg Blue. Many wild birds lay eggs in this soft, turquoise blue shade.
This Pinterest board contains some beautiful duck egg blue fashion and homeware.

Keep reading to discover the symbolism behind this colour and see my artwork.

  1. This is such a pretty shade of blue. I wonder what flavour a macaroon this colour would be.

I absolutely love love love duck egg blue - if it was up to me, everything in my house would be this colour! I never knew that deep orange could compliment it though - that's something I'm definitely going to have to try out!

  5. I adore it too. Yes, apparently it goes with orange. Sounds weird, but who knows?
